Our commitment
Sight Solutions Group is committed to making our website and services usable by everyone, including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and other disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-time project, and it is part of our design, development, and content review process.
Conformance standard
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We also consider Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act in evaluating our digital properties.
“Working toward conformance” means we have adopted the standard, we test against it, and we remediate what we find — not that every page is verified conformant at every moment.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading hierarchy and landmark regions
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Color contrast targeting WCAG AA ratios for body text and interface components
- Information never conveyed by color alone
- Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Form fields with programmatically associated labels, clear help text, and accessible error messaging
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting - Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 CSS pixels and remain usable at 200% zoom
- Plain-language review of disclosure content, so that legally required information is also genuinely readable
- Accessibility review as part of our release process, plus periodic assessment using automated tooling and manual screen-reader testing
Known limitations
We disclose rather than conceal known gaps. As of the assessment date above:
- Third-party content. Embedded content from vendors — chat widgets, e-signature flows, and analytics overlays — may not fully conform. We raise issues with those vendors and provide the alternative access described below.
- Older PDF documents. Some archived disclosure PDFs are not fully tagged. We are remediating them and will provide an accessible version of any document on request within two business days.
- Complex tables. Some state disclosure and comparison tables are dense; we are improving their header associations and adding summaries.
- Recorded media. Video content is captioned; transcripts for older recordings are still being added.
